I work in various bands and projects.

Aili Järvelä

Aili Järvelä is my own band, where I write all the music and perform as the lead singer. The material is Finnish indie pop. Occasionally, I perform the same material as a duo with my guitarist.

Aili Järvelä & Unituuli

Unituuli is a small jazz band composed of Finland's leading jazz musicians, with me as the lead vocalist. We perform a repertoire that I originally composed and arranged for a big band. The material can be heard on the album Unituulia (Aili Järvelä & Sointi Jazz Orchestra).

BFP

BFP is a folk music band, where I work as a band member and a producer. We perform both original and traditional folk music from Finland and around the world.

Our first album Bergå Folk Project got rewarded as the best ethno album of the year in the Finnish Grammies 2023.

Katrina (the musical)

I work as an actor-musician in the musical Katrina which I also composed. Katrina premiered in January 2024, and we have continued performing it during the spring 2025.

Katrina has been both a commercial and critical success. The total number of the shows performed is 70.
